Profile:
The White County Meth Task Force of Cleveland,
Georgia began in 2006 due to the obvious and arising
need in the community and surrounding North GA.
neighboring counties to fight the battle of the growing
Methamphetamine problem.

Founder:
Sharon Lee, a local business owner of White County,
had a vision to begin an organized fight against meth
in our community. Over a year ago, Lee published an
article in the local newspaper that gave her testimony
about a family member that was addicted to meth. She
was overwhelmed at the response of people who had a
story just like hers and calls from people who had a
passion to help others addicted to meth.

Purpose:
The purpose of the White County Methamphetamine
Task Force is to combine community efforts with law
enforcement, public service agencies and interested
citizens, to combat drug abuse flooding our community
with an emphasis on Methamphetamines.

Mission:
The Mission Statement of the Task Force is to
effectively combat the drug epidemic through
prevention, education, treatment and enforcement.

In furtherance of this mission
this non profit organization seeks to develop,
implement and evaluate a comprehensive plan
encompassing law enforcement,: health and social
services, education, and the private sector to combat
the epidemic of methamphetamine in our communities
through prevention, education, treatment, and
enforcement.

Our primary goals are:

- Protect the children and families in our community
- Prevention through education
- Facilitate treatment, support groups,detection and
rehabilitation
-Support aggressive prosecution of
methamphetamine-related crimes and criminals
-Increase public knowledge and awareness of the
effects of methamphetamine on our community and
surrounding communities.
